I am a little late getting this post done. This is actually from the month of August.
This year for the Poulsen family reunion my sister Tiffany was in charge and she planned for all of us to go to Lagoon. The kids just loved it. They were all a good age and we stayed all day long. Some of us went a day earlier and decided to do a few other things while we were down that way. Lizzie and I caught a ride down with Courtney and Max. Koby didn't get to come with us on this day, but met us later at the hotel. Our first stop was the Sweets Shoppe.

We took a tour to see how all the candy was made. We all had to wear hair bonnets. This is quite the picture of all of us with our caps on.
Then we headed to Hogle Zoo. Tiffany's family picked up some Little Ceasar's pizza and we had a bite before we went through the zoo. It had been a few years since we had gone to the zoo and it was so fun to see the new exhibits they had. The polar bear was my favorite and Lizzie says her favorite animal was the polar bear or tiger. She really liked all the animals.
watching the polar bear...we spent a long time at this exhibit. He was very entertaining for all of us.
The polar bear was so fun to watch. From down below you could watch him jump from rock to rock and then pop up to see the kids at the window.
It was a fun day for all of us!
The next day we went to Lagoon and stayed from the time it opened until it closed. Koby and I even took a few rides. The colossus was our favorite. But I will say it is not the same the older you get. It can really shake you up a bit. Here are some fun pictures from our day at Lagoon.

There really are kids on this ride with their dads. I just happened to be at an angle I could only get the dads. What good dads!
The kids liked spending some time in the water fountains to cool off.
And we were very excited to see that rattlesnake rapids finally opened up towards evening. It would have been a better ride to take in the afternoon when it was nice and hot, but we still got cooled right off. This is also a favorite ride of ours.
On Saturday we checked out of our hotel and then went to the park for lunch and fun and games. The little ones fed the ducks, we had chicken and salads for lunch, and then we did some fun skits that my sister put together.
We laughed pretty hard with some of the funny skits we all came up with.
It was so fun to spend time with all the family. I always look forward to our family reunions every year!
