We got to spend the holidays up home this year with my family. We had such a great time. Lizzie and I loaded into the car on Friday the 21st and picked up my cousin Nichole and her girls and drove up home so that we could make it to our family party which would be on Saturday. Koby had to work on Friday and so he came on Saturday with my brother and sister in law. We had the annual Orr party that night with all of my extended family. Then on Sunday afternoon my immediate family all got together for our Christmas party. We had a nice lunch, let the kids do the nativity, opened our exchange gifts, went to the cemetary and did our tradition of singing Christmas carols at my grandparents grave and other family that have passed on. Then we came back and did some more eating of my mom's candy making and played games. It is always so fun to spend time with the family.

The girls getting their oldest cousin Conner. He is such a good sport and enjoys playing with all of his younger cousins.
Koby went back home with my brother and his family this night because he
had to work Christmas Eve and then came back with my cousin Nichole's
husband Christmas Eve night so that they could be there for Christmas.
The roads were horrible with all his travels. Lots of snow storms. He
was such a good sport about it all so that we could be home for the
holidays. And I am glad they were safe in all their travels. On
Christmas Eve night we had a quiet evening at my parents. We had a nice
dinner and then waited for Koby to arrive. Soon after he got there a
little "elf" dropped a bag by my parent's house and Lizzie was so
excited. Inside was a gift for all of us to open. Each one of us got a
new pair of jammies and then Lizzie got a fun movie to watch. We read
the Christmas story from Lizzie's The First Christmas book because it is much simpler form
for her than reading from the scriptures. Then we got tucked into bed so
Santa could come. Boy was she excited.
All ready in her new jammies on Christmas Eve!
Christmas morning came and Santa did find Grandma's house. He left Lizzie a Littlest Pets treehouse and some candy in her stocking.
Then we opened our presents to each other. Lizzie was so excited to get her daddy some pickle chips when we went shopping for his present. Of course she had to have a few herself.
Here she is all excited that she got a bullseye stuffed animal to go with her Jesse doll. She had to show Grandma right away.
We were all spoiled as usual with lots of fun gifts. Koby even got Lizzie and I an android tablet we can use. It has been so fun. Koby got to do some skiing before we left for home on Wednesday the day after Christmas. I just love the holidays and look forward to the new year.
