Memorial Day Weekend!

We enjoyed our Memorial Weekend this year! We were able to get lots of things done in the yard. We finally got our garden planted. Usually we have some things in the ground by now, but with the wet weather we haven't had so much success. I also got all my flower beds cleaned out and planted. They look great and it is so nice to have that done. On Sunday afternoon we did go up to Grace and seen Koby's parents and went to the cemetary where his Grandpa Bennett is burried. While we were at Grandma and Grandpa Bennett's house we had our first hot dog cookout for the year. Lizzie loved every minute of it....especially the smores! Grandpa and Lizzie

On Memorial Day we had some friends that wanted to go hiking. We went up to Willow Flats and tried to hike to the water falls. We didn't get all the way to the top because it still had snow and lots of mud. We came really close though. I guess we will have to go again when it dries out.

Luckily we had a pack for Lizzie to be in. The trail is really close to the water and plus it was super muddy and slick.

But it was nice and cool and a great day for a hike.

After hiking we came back to our house and cooked out hamburgers on the grill and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in the sunshine.

Yesterday it was also so nice outside we enjoyed otter pops on the front porch and got the lawn all mowed.
Lizzie's hair is getting so long I can now pull it into a pigtail. I was pretty proud of myself for being able to pull this off without too many tears.
