Look who just turned 2

2 years ago, an amazing woman (Debbie) placed into my arms the most cherished gift a childless mother could ever want. An adorable little angel sent straight from heaven. As we celebrate Lizzie's birthday each year we can't help but recognize the one who brought her into this world and the sacrifice of a loving birthmother. It will definitely be a day that will never be fogotten. We love you Debbie!
On Lizzie's birthday last Sunday, we had the grandmas and grandpas and Uncle Christopher and Aunt Courtney and cousin Max here. Our neighbor Hannah and her family also came over for cake and ice-cream to celebrate with us. I decided to make her a monkey cake this year because she is "a little monkey." She is constantly climbing on everything. I can't believe how fast she is growing up and changing all the time. She was a little shy at first with recently waking from a nap and having everyone here, but after a while she warmed up and really got into the cake and ice-cream and present unwrapping.
My mom put Lizzie's toothbrush in her present bag that Lizzie had left the last time she was up at her house. You would have thought it was something brand new...she got so excited over it and started brushing her teeth immediately.

Her friend Hannah gave her the tiara she is wearing. Lizzie thought it was pretty cute and fun.
She also got a few things she is going to need soon like socks and underwear. She is pretty excited about going potty so we thought we would soon give it a try.
It was so fun to have family and friends to be a part of this with us. Thanks to all of you! We constantly wonder what our lives would be like if we didn't have Lizzie. She has truly been such a blessing and brought so much joy into our lives. We love you Lizzie! Happy 2nd birthday!
