Elk Refuge

Every year we love to take a trip up to see the elk at the Elk Refuge. This year we got together with my brother and his wife and little boy Max on a Saturday afternoon. It was snowy and cold, but still fun to go see. Lizzie thought it was so much fun to take a sleigh ride and see the elk. She also loved the big horses. Lizzie wanted to get off the sleigh when we would come to a stop. I guess she wanted the up close and personal experience of seeing the elk. We tried to tell her that "cheeseburger" (the name our driver chose to give himself) told us before we took off that if anything falls over the edge to not plan on getting it back. It will have to stay with the elk. We would need to hold onto everything. She still tried a time or two to climb up off the side. Her dad had to hold on to her tight. It is so fun to watch the elk when they lock their antlers and start to fight.

That is a fun place! We have never taken our two little ones there...well, i guess they are not that little, but they have never been there. Conner and Malorie loved going there when we lived there! How long do they do this?
