Preschool Party and carving our BIG pumpkins

For Preschool we had a fun little Halloween party with the kids. Lizzie was planning to be a pumpkin for Halloween this year, but when she saw her mom get all dressed up like a witch then we had a change of the mind. At least for the preschool party. So here Lizzie and I are as fun witches. We didn't want to be too scary for the other kids. HA HA! She especially loved when I put spiders on her ears like earrings and bats in her hair.
We played games and did a Halloween cake walk at preschool. The kids got a cupcake when they won. Here is Lizzie enjoying her chocolate cupcake.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had some big pumpkins this year in our pumpkin patch. Koby picked us out some of the best ones and then we got busy to carving. Lizzie absolutely loves to carve the pumpkins....or should I say cleaning them out. She just loves the slimy goo which I have to say is not my favorite part. It was fun this year having her at an age to really dive in and get into the whole carving of it all. We had to finally strip her shirt off of her and just put an apron on. She had goop clear up to her arm pits by the time we were finished. As you can see from these photos and the video below.
Then when she tried to help her dad with the pumpkin she couldn't decide if she wanted it scary, sad, happy, or what so it was a little mix of everything by the time they were done.
Here are the finished pumpkins.
